The Giver
This book is about a young boy named Jonas. His world is perfect. No hunger, no pain, and no sorrow. No one has to make any choices and everyone has a role in the community. But when the ceremony for the twelves (when you are assigned a role in the community) comes closer, Jonas is worried that even though the elders have watched him carefully for the last little while, he won't be given the right role. This book is for any one that likes tear jerking fiction books. I rate this book a ten out of ten.

The School for the Insanely Gifted
This book is about a girl named Daphna Whispers. She is an AMAZING pianist. She wrote her first sonata when she was 2 1/2. When she was eight she finished an opera. And at age 11 3/4 she is writing a piano rhapsody. No wonder she goes to the Blatt School for the Insanely Gifted. She is almost always thinking about her mother's disappearance when she isn't composing music. Now it's up to her to solve the mystery before the Insanity Cup.

Solving Zoe
This book is about a girl who goes to a fancy private school. She doesn't have an amazing talent like her brother and sister. Later, a new boy starts following her around at school. I liked this book because it is about a girl my age. SHe learns to accept who everyone really is. I also learned a few ciphers from this book. I would give it nine out of ten stars.
